DIRECTIONS:

FLAT IRON

1. Ensure your hair is clean and combed through.
2. Plug in the iron and turn it on using the on-off button.
3. Adjust the heat setting to the desired temperature.
4. Separate hair into a small section (2in / 5cm max) and place the section of hair firmly between the heating plates. Slide down the length of the hair from roots to tips. Repeat as necessary.
5. Allow the hair to cool before further styling.
6. When you are done turn off the iron using the on-off button and unplug it from the socket.

STYLING WAND

1. Point the tip of the iron downward and wrap a 1-inch section of hair around the barrel, winding it away from your face.
2. Let it sit for 10 seconds, then release. Repeat on all of your hair.
3. Flip your head over and break up the curls with your fingers or brush out for a softer look.

FLAT IRON

“Before you begin using your flat iron, make sure it’s heated up and ready-to-go. For the best results, the ideal temperature is always 365 degrees. When you have your sections divided, it’s time to use the flat iron. To create a flawless look, start by straightening the hair at the roots and slowly work your way down to the ends. To avoid breakage, avert going over the same sections more than once or twice—over-clamping is a big no-no.”

STYLING WAND

“Pick only a little hair at a time as small sections add some depth to overall style. Over-heating is the real danger, since you only need about five to ten seconds to achieve the desired look. Release you hair and allow the curl to fall to retain its shape. To avoid the mess and help yourself with further styling manipulations, roll the just-curled section around your finger, and secure it in place with a bobby pin to preserve its shape while you keep curling. Repeat the above two steps with the next section of hair, but this time, twist the barrel toward your face. Alternating the direction of the curls prevents them from clumping together. Keep going until you finish curling and pinning up all your hair. For more defined and long-lasting curls leave them untouched to cool down for a few minutes.”
