This one is inspired by a rag curls technique our grandmothers used when they were young. Rather than used a cut up t-shirt, we decided to use something just as effective, but something you would definitely have around the houseā¦ paper towels! Paper towel strips work nicely, because they wick excess moisture from the hair and help set the curl. YouĀ can wear them to sleep, but for this tutorial they were done the same day, and removed after about 5-6 hours. {If you want to expedite the process, you can choose a hairdryer on low heat.}
These curls are beautiful and voluminous. They are perfect as is, or as a base for a hairstyle combination with braids, buns, twist backs, etc. You can also get about 2-3 days worth of curls/waves by doing this. Hope you love the curls as much as we do! Enjoy!
